Let Sasha use your HireBest projects and research in your chats

The HireBest card in Settings → Connections links one person's HireBest account to Sasha, so new chat messages can use that person's HireBest projects and research.

Where

Settings → Connections, at the top, under Services Sasha can use. The card shows only on a Sasha where your Sasha provider has switched HireBest on.

Who

Every signed-in person, for their own HireBest account only. Nobody can connect or disconnect another person's account.

Needs

A HireBest account. Your Sasha provider must switch HireBest on for your Sasha; there is no setting for it in the Sasha web interface.

What it is

The HireBest card lets each person link their own HireBest account to Sasha. After that, Sasha can use that person's HireBest projects and research when it answers their new chat messages.

The card is at the top of Settings → Connections, under Services Sasha can use. It shows only on a Sasha where your Sasha provider has switched HireBest on. The title shows the state: HireBest, HireBest · Connected or HireBest · Needs attention.

Connect

1. Open Settings → Connections.
2. On the HireBest card ("Use HireBest projects and research in Sasha."), click Connect HireBest. The button shows "Opening HireBest…".
3. Sign in to HireBest and approve.
4. HireBest sends you back to Connections. The message "HireBest connected. Sasha can now use it in new messages." confirms it.

Start a new message to use it. The card now says "HireBest is available in new Sasha messages."

If you stop at HireBest, or the sign-in fails, Sasha shows "HireBest wasn't connected." with Try again. If you wait too long, it shows "This connection attempt expired. Start again."

Disconnect

1. Click Disconnect on the card.
2. Sasha asks: "Disconnect HireBest? Sasha will no longer be able to use your HireBest projects and research. Your data in HireBest will not be deleted."
3. Click Disconnect HireBest, or Keep connected to stop.

Sasha always deletes its own copy of your HireBest sign-in, and asks HireBest to cancel Sasha's access. If HireBest does not answer within a few seconds, you see "Disconnected from Sasha. HireBest revocation could not be confirmed."

When it needs attention

The card shows "Your HireBest connection has expired." and a Reconnect HireBest button when Sasha can no longer use your sign-in. Click it and sign in again.

How it is kept safe

• Your HireBest sign-in is stored encrypted on your Sasha server. It never reaches the browser or the chat.
• Each chat gets only a short-lived pass, valid for two hours, that lets it use HireBest through Sasha as you.
• Sasha renews the HireBest sign-in by itself shortly before it expires.
• The sign-in is checked with a one-time value, so another page cannot finish it for you.

Limits to know

• One person, one account. An admin cannot connect HireBest for the team.
• Only chats use HireBest. Scheduled skills never get it, even when the person who scheduled them is connected. A skill started with Run also does not use HireBest.
• "Your HireBest connection has expired." appears for every reason that Sasha needs a new sign-in, not only for an expired one.
• Today, "HireBest is temporarily unavailable. Your connection is still active." can appear when a disconnect fails for any reason, including when HireBest is not available on your Sasha.
• Members cannot sign in to the Sasha web interface, so they cannot use this card.
• The HireBest sign-in works only when your Sasha runs as one server. A Sasha that runs on several servers at once can lose a sign-in part way.
