Know what Sasha is doing when a reply takes a while
When the card shows
In the Sasha web chat, some questions need a long step, such as a script that compares two large files. If one step runs for more than 30 seconds, a card appears in the chat under that step. The card shows:
- "Still working" and the kind of step that is running, for example "a script" or "a web page";
- how long this step and the whole reply have taken;
- whether your connection to Sasha is fine, and when Sasha last sent a signal;
- how many steps of the reply are done.
The card counts up while the step runs. When the step ends, the card goes away and Sasha goes on with the reply. The card is not saved in the chat.
You can leave the page and come back. The reply is saved when it is done.
When the card turns amber
If the card turns amber and says "No signal" and "Reconnecting…", this page has lost its connection to Sasha, or has had no signal from Sasha for more than 75 seconds. Sasha is checking on your reply. The page reconnects by itself and shows the card again with the correct times.
When the card turns red
If the card turns red and says "The work ended and this page did not get the reply", Sasha finished, but the reply did not reach this page. Select Load the reply to show it. If the reply still does not show, select Report this so we can look into it.
